Srinagar, Apr 08 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department is hosting the Pampore Spring Festival at Samboora Tourist Village, celebrating the region's natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. The saffron fields of Pampore have turned into a vibrant, colorful landscape this spring, drawing tourists and locals to experience the bloom of wild tulips and mustard flowers. After the mustard fields transformed the area with a sea of bright yellow, wild tulips in shades of pink and white have now taken over, creating a striking contrast with the golden backdrop. As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the visitors along the Srinagar-Jammu highway stop to admire the mesmerizing sight, eager to capture the beauty of the moment. The festival is not just a visual feast but also an auditory one, with the sound of traditional Kashmiri music filling the air. The soothing melodies of the rabab and the evocative tunes of wanwun enrich the experience, adding to the charm of the spring season. This natural wonder has helped to boost local tourism, showcasing Pampore's appeal beyond its world-renowned saffron fields. Tourists have praised Kashmir as a welcoming and safe destination, encouraging others to visit the region and experience the enchanting tulip bloom and other scenic wonders. The warm hospitality of the locals further enhances the experience, making Pampore a must-see destination for nature enthusiasts. The arrival of wild tulips alongside the mustard fields has added to the biodiversity and tourism potential of Pampore’s saffron-rich Karewas, strengthening its reputation as a treasure of Kashmir. With spring in full swing, Pampore continues to stand as a testament to the valley’s diverse beauty, blending floral brilliance with cultural richness—(KNO)
